Sopore, Jan 15 (KNO): A day-long awareness program on the Goods and Services Tax (GST) was held on Wednesday in north Kashmir’s Sopore, attracting a large gathering of traders, contractors and entrepreneurs.
In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the program was organized by the Commercial Tax Department, Circle Sopore, with several speakers highlighting various aspects of GST, including the tax regime, filing of returns, and the transition of stocks.
On the occasion, the speakers emphasized the importance of compliance and clarified the procedures to ensure a smooth GST process for businesses.
A question and answer session concluded the event, allowing participants to seek clarifications directly from experts. The interactive session addressed various queries from the audience.
